How does Lemon Herb-Roasted Chicken sound for a special family dinner this Spring?

Made simply, just put the chicken in the oven for about 1h30min with some water and seasonings and cover half way through.

Or how about the best crunchy, homemade Fried Chicken using your favorite healthy oils or Oven Baked Chicken–without worrying about a tummy ache!

Chicken Fajitas, Penn-Dutch Chicken and Dough Balls, Pot Pie……Sunday Dinner…..crockpot, instapot, oven-roasted, sauteed, airfryer….so many options!

When you dedicate your precious time to home-cooking, pastured poultry makes it easy. The flavor is beyond anything you’ve had from the supermarket.

The chicken actually has a firm bite–not plasticky or squishy. The nutrition is so much higher that you feel better after eating.

With our pastured-chicken, you don’t need tons of sauces or spices with hidden msg, sugars, high-fructose syrups, gmo oils…

To make it taste extremely flavorful—you can just use the basics, a little salt and pepper and some oregano or whatever you like–my family loves using plain, local honey for a dip.

This week, I cut up some chicken breast, sauteed with just salt and pepper and my children ate it up.My daughter came up to me and said, “Mom, the chicken tastes so good. I keep wanting more.” It’s the easiest food for fussy eaters.

Factory Farm food just isn’t that great for us or the animals–but 99.9% of all US chicken is from a factory farm. The feed is loaded with GMOs and not rich in the nutrients we want from being stuck indoors their life…Indoors means living in the filth of 30,000 to 120,000 at a time their whole life with tractor loads dying daily. Plus, they have to have a lot of extra light, even up to only 2 hours of darkness, so they continue to stuff themselves. This lifestyle is happening even with an organic label! Then, the meat is soaked in a chlorine bath you have to wash away, and shipped across many, many miles in refrigerated trucks, using up much fuel, to the store.

It’s not the best, especially for raising strong children and for ourselves to keep our skin, heart, mind healthy and energy levels going…

That’s why we do something entirely different called “Pastured Poultry”….

Our Pastured-Poultry

Sized just right for your 2026 needs–Ready in March (before an early Easter this year)

*We plan on having smaller whole chickens (3-3.5lbs range) sized just right for singles and couples to not have to have tons of left-overs–just enough for dinner, a shredded chicken lunch, and bones to make nourishing bone broth in the crockpot. ($28)

*We plan on having medium sized whole chickens, good for families with children (4 or 4.5+lbs) or keeping extra meat throughout the week for soups and tacos, or extra shredded chicken in the freezer for days spent too long at the park and cooking slipped your mind. Cook a medium sized whole chicken and you get more meat and save time ($32-36).

Deposits are $2o to reserve yours. It goes toward your final balance (due at pick-up) and tells us how many to order. We’re a small family farm, so the deposit funds the initial costs— you’re supporting a family farm.

***Text 843 861 6519 to reserve by SATURDAY 1-17. Or reply to Julia’s email.

Being all-natural with small batch sizes, sizes may come out smaller or larger than you wanted, but we’ll keep to the price range listed and do our best to predict the weight. We will harvest and package the chickens to be freezer ready at pick-up in March.

Optional: Cut-Up Chicken – For an additional $10, you can have your whole chicken cut in pieces and vacuum sealed for convenience (2 breasts, 2 thighs, 2 wings, 2 drumsticks). Add this fee to your deposit so we can plan accordingly.

It’s really hard to find Soy-Free, Non-GMO, Pastured Poultry here in Hartsville and surrounding areas. If I could find it, I wouldn’t take all the time and work to grow it, but I know the quality we provide from start-to-finish–we’ve been eating it for years–it’s what we trust!

We grow only in the Spring, so don’t miss out on stocking your freezer for your family’s favorite chicken dinners and skipping the store!

Text Julia and Aaron at 843 861 6519 this by SATURDAY 1-17-26, reserve your chicken and make your deposit. We will have a limited quantity. Don’t miss out!

Review: Extremely Flavorful….Supporting Local Small Family Business

Finally, here’s a review from Daniel. He tested the quality of our chicken multiple times, and shares the details below. Thanks, Daniel!

Health and nutrition have been a big part of my life since the early 2000’s. I’ve seen and done lots of research. Unfortunately, I’ve seen how the big food industry has basically infiltrated and sabotaged anything related to healthy food. It used to be that if it had an “Organic” label that it was a product truly produced in a good clean way, nowadays not so much.(…)

The first batch of birds I bought and cooked I did nothing special, I just baked at
normal temperature as I didn’t want to add any ingredients or cook in a way that
would compromise testing the meat quality. As I picked the meat off the bone I
noticed two things:
—-The muscle meat was tender, juicy, and upon taste extremely flavorful
—-When I got to the tendons and ligaments around the bones and joints it
was clear they were very gelatinous and spongy feeling, indicative of
healthy bird fed a good diet and free to roam. The benefit being that
making a bone broth/stock with an Asper Farm bird is that you’re going to
get a great product of collagen protein that will have an amino acid profile
that is top notch.

Finally, the last reason I buy from Asper Farms, other than the test proven quality of
their products, is that I’m supporting local small family business which I believe is the
backbone of a healthy community economy.
